A Poem For Our Grandbaby

Beautiful babies! There is never a dull moment around them. Even as they sleep, they are lessons in vigilance and love. The need to protect them brings along the realization of the need to be loved...

Those little pink pounds of flesh,
Fresh from the heavens above.
Sudden spurt of crib and creche,
And loads and loads of love.

They come with a cry,
Take over with a bang,
They wipe away sigh,
And every sonnet sang.

Demands from the first gasp,
They make to feed and change;
There's never an open clasp,
To sort life or even rearrange

They are answers to prayers,
And come to add meaning,
To babble and teddy bears,
And timely spring cleaning

The first turn, the first, "mum",
The first flip, the first crawl;
The first step, the first tantrum,
The first pet, the first brawl.

Suddenly, there is never a dull second.
Suddenly, there is sunshine all around.
Suddenly, there is parenting reckoned.
Suddenly, the need for practice ground.

They are our lessons in innocence.
They stand for all so pure and true.
Babies are the only quintessence,
Of the vast love that is within you.

Cheyna Preparing for Her Baby Shower

TJ and I spent Saturday shopping with my new daughter Cheyna for her baby shower accessories. It was freezing outside. I think the temperature was around 35 degrees with a wind chill of about 29 degrees.

Dear, dear Cheyna  and Alex we are so excited about this new addition to our family and are looking forward to our grand son Zaine making his grand entrance to the world.  The entire family is excited about attending your shower to share and celebrate with you too.

This celebration for every child of a couple is increasingly becoming popular, as the birth of each child is a special and new experience. We Love You Guys!!

"Our Grandson"

Saturday our grandson spenT the day with us.  He spent most of the day however, with his papa at our rental property working.

He called and said "hey meme, papa told me to ask is there anything you gonna need me to do when I come home"? He sounded so sweet, but exhausted...of course I said no.After a long day of hanging out and eating dinner. He told us to call his daddy because he's ready to go home to play his wii.

MJ doesn't spend as much time with us like he did when he was a baby. We really miss it too.He is old enough to decide what he wants to do. He's usually with his parents doing things with them. Not to mention he has plenty toys and games at home to keep him entertained.

We gave him all kind of reasons why he should want to spend more time with us. Then we asked him why he don't like to visit meme and papa like he used too? He say it's because he want to go to the park and we won't take him...

We told him when his cousin Zaine is born he will probably want to spend more time with us.  His answer to that was... Zaine is going to be a baby and babies cry all the time...

We know our grandson is in a huge process of growing up, discovering new things and experimenting. I guess we sometimes forget that our children were the same as a child.

I admit it's wonderful watching him become such a handsome, smart and independent young man too.

"Roads Love Travel"

Have you ever been riding with someone and you feel like you're by yourself?

You are in the car with them but, you're all alone.
You talk to them they don't listen.
You look at them and don't see.

Challenges in our lives trigger resentment, fear, anger, and anxiety, which interfere with the way we manage conflict and stressful situations. It also cloud our perspective and the way we view ourselves and others.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel but, sometimes the tunnel seem so long...
